Somesh is driven by the principle of “making the complex clear.” Somesh loves coming up with shrewd solutions to complex problems, and his cultural background from India gives him a multifarious perspective on challenges. Somesh has a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a Masters in Business Administration, and a master’s degree in Human Computer Interaction from the School of Information at the University of Michigan. While at U-M, he was among the top performing students and was a member of the honor society Phi Kappa Phi. At the School of Information, Somesh assisted Dr. Charles Severance in teaching “Building Interactive Web Applications” to both graduate and undergraduate students. Prior to graduate school, Somesh worked in India as a computer engineer for Mercedes Benz Research & Development. He is an entrepreneur and has established a couple of startups, one of which is a non-profit that provides computer literacy to orphans.
